Paul Stones helps poets act, writers perform, and the terrified speak.

For Performers

Nervous

No matter how successful you are as a performer, you’ll understand there are still times when some help is required.  Maybe you need advice on improving your links or increasing greater rapport with your audiences. Perhaps you need help in preparing to step-up to a larger platform or bigger venue. Perhaps you’re developing a one-man or one-woman show – or bringing others into your act for the first time – and you’d like a friendly but experienced eye cast over your work in development? Maybe you’re looking to employ a professional director to take you through the rehearsal process, someone who doesn’t impose their vision on you, but helps you achieve your own?

Using my experience as former manager and artistic director of The Marlborough Theatre in Brighton, running a programme of spoken word, music, comedy, cabaret and theatre, I can help with everything from structure, delivery and staging, to the technicalities of lighting and sound, including producing tech scripts which will help you take your show to any venue.

In the past I’ve specialised in working with performance poets who want to make the transition from performing poetry gigs to developing their own themed shows, gaining Arts Council funding, and reaching theatre audiences. But no matter what kind of performer you are, if you want to up your game, I can probably help.

I don’t charge the earth, but I do help performers make a better living, simply doing what they love.  Read my testimonials, and if you feel I might be able to help you, let’s have a chat.
